THE HOLMWOOD FOUNDATION -EPISODE ONE AND KICKSTARTER
It's finally here! Please enjoy Episode One of the Holmwood Foundation, Across The Moors.
CW: swearing, threat, static, brief emergency sirens, themes of possession/removal of bodily autonomy, and depictions of violence.
LISTEN ON SPOTIFY, APPLE PODCASTS, OR AT THE ACAST LINK BELOW:
The Holmwood Foundation is a Found Footage Horror-Fiction Podcast, a modern-day sequel to the gothic novel Dracula.
We follow Maddie Townsend (Rebecca Root) and Jeremy Larkin (Seán Carlsen), two co-workers at the Holmwood Foundation: a secret organisation that has been maintaining and studying the remains of Count Dracula for the last 130 years, as they are possessed by the ghosts of Jonathan and Mina Harker, and embark on a nightmare road trip, carrying Dracula's severed head across the UK, in an effort to stop him once and for all.
If you enjoy this episode and want to hear more, please consider supporting our Kickstarter to fund the rest of Season One. We need £23,000 to make the rest of the season a reality. Tiers start from just £5, and we're offering a range of exciting tier rewards for our backers!

Further Holmwood Foundation art with Rebecca Root as a rather dissapointed Maddie. Stuck with backpack of holding and an uncooperative boss (unless he's possessed at that point) Maddie has amystery to solve if she ever wants her life back, and far more to loose out Across the Moors

Emma Thompson, Anna Friel, Christopher Eccleston to Star in Drama ‘Hear Me Roar’ About 2000 U.K. Trans Marriage Case
Tumblr media
Emma Thompson, Anna Friel, Christopher Eccleston, Julian Ovenden and Rebecca Root have joined the cast of feature film “Hear Me Roar,” a drama about a groundbreaking British trans marriage case.
The script is co-written by Lisa McMullin and Ashley Bayston, whose story it tells. The feature will be directed by Amy Coop and produced by Darren Stuart and David Nichols.
“Hear Me Roar” tells the story of a transgender woman who, in 2000, took on the British government in a lengthy legal battle which would change the lives of LGBTQ+ people in the U.K.
Elizabeth (Liz) Bellinger married her husband Michael at Southwark register office in South London in 1981, one of the few transgender people in Britain who had gone through a marriage ceremony. For nearly 20 years only her husband knew her secret, however in 1998 she launched a campaign to have her marriage legally recognized and in 2000 the case went to court.
The drama starts with Elizabeth’s meeting with lawyer Bayston (who co-wrote the feature with lead writer McMullin), and it then follows the resulting complex legal obstacle course they undertook over the coming three years.
Bellinger will be played by Root, whose credits include “The Queen’s Gambit” and “The Danish Girl,” and Friel will play Bayston.
Bayston said: “I can’t believe this is finally happening and that the story of Liz and my battle is to be told by such an amazing team of actors. We used to joke about a film being made some day but couldn’t imagine such young and glamorous actors portraying us. This story has to be told and these are exactly the right people to tell it.”
Thompson said: “I’m weeping like a baby, it’s so moving and powerful and funny. It’s a great story and script with wonderful characters I just loved it and it moved me deeply. I think it’s both fascinating and profoundly meaningful and essential.”
Coop added: “It’s a privilege to be working with such a great team to tell this incredible story, an overlooked part of modern British history that represented a seismic shift for LGBTQ+ people.”
Stuart’s credits include “Capital Punishment” and the documentary “Stone By Stone”; Nichols’ credits include “Everest,” “The Tourist” and “William Tell.”

Finished Heartstopper Season 2, and really enjoyed it. Everyone got the character development I was hoping for them to get, including Isaac finding his identity. Was also happy to see Rebecca Root in an episode! Solid season.

My back was flush against the shelves. I felt books shifting behind me, the unity of their spines forcibly broken. Her lips tasted like wine. I made an involuntary sound as Rebecca leaned in to kiss me a second time. If the way she looked at me had made me feel warm, her touch set me aflame. Briefly, ridiculously, I worried the books behind me would catch fire. I gripped Rebecca's waist, unsure whether to pull her in or push her away.
She smiled against my lips, then drew back and laughed. "I knew you had some spark in you."
Prompt 16: laughing while kissing

if I have a nickel for every guy in blue outfit that went through multiple horrendous life-changing experiences and got tasked to take care of some random person(s) with no time to process their emotions, I’d have two nickels. which isn’t a lot but it’s funny how it happened twice

Let me tell you something
Ted Lasso altered my brain chemistry
Really, what a terrific show
I started to watch it for the first time recently, still not finish it, but I can relate to Ted in so many levels, especially for the leadership aspect of his job
I'm a teacher and I had some trouble with some of my students, basically third graders with big egoes in conflict every day, and almost every day I find myself advising them to do their best, to be grateful for their own skills and respect their differences, pretty much like Ted
Not only that, but I can relate to the fact that Ted tries to do his best to make everybody feel well, but deep inside he's dealing with so much pain. In the meantime, I'm finding my way and my confidence, like him.
It's funny cause I always can relate what I'm watching currently with the present moment of my life, and Ted Lasso fills up that feeling perfectly.
P. S.: I'm a hard Tedbecca shipper, yes, I know how it ends, don't talk to me about it
